Mission, BC is a vibrant city. Our historical downtown features unique shops, entertainment venues and establishments offering a wide range of goods and services. If you’re visiting Mission or moving to the area, we invite you to “explore downtown” through our website and get a feel for the amenities in the area. The Mission Downtown Business Association (MDBA) is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inviting downtown area. Our mandate is to promote and enhance the local business environment by creating a welcoming space for both businesses and the broader community. We focus on supporting the retention and growth of businesses in the downtown district while also serving as a primary resource for stakeholders invested in the area's success. This includes advocating for the development of the downtown community and ensuring it remains a productive and inclusive environment for everyone.
The Downtown Business Association is made up of all the merchants and landowners in in the Business Improvement Area (BIA) which is from Murray Street west to Alder, and from Second Avenue south to Railway Avenue. The association’s board is comprised of 12 of those merchants and business owners, who volunteer their time to assist the efforts of the MDBA.
